Playing with Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry is the science of making measurements from photographs. The input to photogrammetry is photographs, and the output is typically a map, a drawing, a measurement, or a 3D model of some real-world object or scene. Today, I decided to give it a go and try this technique for the first time. Although, I cannot say the results are impressive, at least, they demonstrate an interesting alternative that can be used to help us speed things up while modeling complex objects in 3D. The software I used for this experiment is called MeshRoom (https://alicevision.org/) and, as usual, its free of charge. Check it out the preliminary results... come and talk to me if you want to learn more about it!
